While dolls did not typically consume things
through the mouths on their faces, they did
often still ingest fluids through them as a
means of appearing more dainty in their
mannerisms, sipping a mixture of blood,
freshwater and crushed fruits out of elegant
teacups. It took longer to digest things
consumed in this manner, and many nutrients
were lost, so it was typically done only
as a means of expression rather than
out of any desire to satiate oneself.
