happy halloween!

it's funny. i said the previous blog post would
be the last until the site's coming update,
but i've been up to some things since then.
and it's my favorite holiday, so, y'know!

today marks a year since the last proper content update
for the site. which was the Witching_Hour part I update.
in retrospect i find it to have been rather lackluster,
but that's only in comparison to what i've been working
on for the past year. had i gotten part II out when i
wanted to, it would've probably blown ass too,
to be honest. compared to the plans i have now
for that upcoming area, it wouldn't even compare.

speaking of plans changing, you might have noticed
that i docked down the update progress recently,
down to 45%, and also tacked a question mark onto
that Q1 ETA. still 2023, to be certain,
i'm just a bit iffy on Q1.

i had some other ideas that would fit nicely with
everything else i have in mind, and also just realized
i was probably underestimating the workload on
existing ones. i say Q1 this, 2023 that, but
really, i have no fucking idea. it's
gonna be amazing regardless, though.
trust the plan.

i've been up to some other things, too.
first and foremost, i've ditched twitter for cohost.
i'm not going to go over why, mainly because you already
know why. i really like cohost, though! on its own
merits, too, not just as a refuge. if you want
more in-the-moment material from me, that's
now where you're bound to find it.

secondly, and admittedly this is rather niche and
pointless, i added a riitag page which you can find
on the blog index. riitag is just a cool image that
updates live to show the most recent games i played
on my wii. i just thought having a page for that
would be cute. so, without thinking, i made one!
make of it what you will, i suppose.

now! since it's halloween, i do want to provide
something of value, so here's something neat.
it's a preview of a full-length song i've found
myself occasionally working on. it's for
something on the site, something quite nice indeed.
which is to say, it's not strictly its own thing.
the working title is "Prayer of Rebirth."

the audio here seems to be a tad muddied,
which is odd, since it sounds fine in the
project as well as the exported audio file.
sorry for that! i'll have that taken care of
for when the time comes to release the song proper.
